Your Bright Future Quickie
August 23 I had the good fortune to return to LACMA for a second look at the Pompeii and the Roman Villa Exhibit. This time I remembered my camera and was able to take a couple of shots of the outdoor pieces for the Your Bright Future exhibit which I wrote about on my Busing to Art blog. As you can see these are fun to walk around if you are a kid or a kid at heart. The exhibit closes September 20.

I just saw the Popmpeii exhibit this weekend, thanks to BG. The pieces in the exhibit got me to wondering about marble - BG says you're a marble expert.
ReplyDeleteWell, I think "expert" is stretching it a little... I was a docent with the LA Conservancy for many years (unfortunately had to give it up as I was doing too many things) and my favorite tour was the Marble Masterpieces, which sadly LAC does not run anymore.
ReplyDeleteI never really thought much about marble until doing that tour but then I fell in love with it and did quite a bit of research on the subject.
